Privacy policy
We do not sell anything, we have no accounts and we ask you for nothing. Here is the whole of it anyway.
Last updated September 2026
This policy covers gummipic.com. It is written to be read, not to be skipped, so it is shorter than most and there is no defined-terms section.
The short version
We run a small publishing site. We do not have accounts, we do not have a shop, and we do not ask you for anything. The only personal information we ever hold is an email you chose to send us. Everything else is anonymous traffic measurement.
What we collect
If you email us
Your email address and whatever is in the message. We keep it while the conversation is open, use it to reply, and delete the thread when it is done. We do not add you to any list.
If you just read the site
Our host records standard server logs — a truncated IP address, the page requested, a timestamp, the browser string, and the page you came from. That is how any web server works and how we know if something is broken.
We may use privacy-respecting analytics to count page views in aggregate. We are interested in which pages get read, not in who read them, and we do not build profiles of visitors.
What we do not collect
- Payment details. You never pay us, so we never see a card.
- Names, addresses or phone numbers. We have no form that asks for them.
- Health information. We do not ask what you take or why, and we would rather not know.
- Anything from anyone under 18. This site is for adults and is not directed at children.
Cookies and local storage
The site sets no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking cookies. One page uses your browser’s session storage to keep a countdown steady while you move between pages — it holds a timestamp, nothing about you, and your browser discards it when you close the tab.
Affiliate links may carry a tracking parameter in the URL so the seller can tell where an order came from. That parameter is attached to the link, read by the seller, and tells them which site sent the visit — not who you are.
When you click through to the seller
The moment you follow a buy button you are on someone else’s website, and their privacy policy applies, not ours. Anything you type into their checkout — name, address, card — goes to them and never comes near us. Read their policy before you buy; it is linked from their checkout.
Who else sees your data
Our hosting provider, because the site has to run on a server, and our analytics provider if one is in use. Neither is given personal information by us and neither is permitted to sell anything they process for us. We will disclose information if a valid legal order requires it, and we would tell you where we are allowed to.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to ask what we hold about you, have it corrected, have it deleted, or object to it being processed. Email [email protected] and we will deal with it. Realistically, for most readers the answer is that we hold nothing at all, because you have never sent us anything.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of the page. We do not keep a mailing list, so that date is the only notice we can give you.
